Not Your Average Mark Wrestling Podcast
We're Predicting Saturday's Main Event.......And we're probably right!
The week didn’t just deliver matches; it delivered moments that actually moved stories. Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre set a combustible tone on SmackDown as Jimmy kept his fingerprints on everything, while the MFTs’ face paint finally made the faction feel like a unit fans can spot and rally around. Tiffany Stratton and Kiana James showed why chemistry survives a brand jump, only for Jade Cargill to flip the script and set a showdown fans will argue about until the bell. Ilja Dragunov’s US Title open challenge with Aleister Black felt brutally honest, and Damian Priest crashing it teased a triple-threat that could steal a card.
Over on Raw, CM Punk quietly did the most Punk thing possible: make the other guy look like a bigger deal. He framed Jey Uso’s hunger without burying him, and the match now feels like a must-watch instead of a box-check. Rusev and Penta rolled until Los Americanos turned the number one contender bout into a Dominik Mysterio survival story, which, like it or not, is smart booking for a heat magnet. Nikki Bella and Roxanne Perez showed how pacing can smooth out gaps, while LA Knight vs Bron Breaker sparked a real conversation about selling and credibility. The women’s tag main event ripped, with Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair escaping as Bayley and Lyra Valkyria proved they’re not just placeholders. A late run-in by Asuka and Kairi Sane widened the lane for multiple believable title routes.
We also zoom out to ask the hard question: does tribalism help anyone? Cutting out casual fans and cheering for corporate logos over great matches shrinks the tent. The better play is abundance—let different styles thrive, let fanbases cross over, and bring that energy to your local indie shows. We wrap with bold Saturday night predictions, listener-favorite entrance themes that pop on the first note, and a few indie dates you should not miss if you’re anywhere near West Texas.
If you enjoyed the show, tap follow, subscribe (use your free Prime sub if you’ve got it), and share this episode with a friend who loves great wrestling talk. Then tell us: which entrance theme gets you on your feet every time?

Hello everybody, welcome to tonight's episode of the Not Your Average Mark Wrestling Podcast. I am your host, the tutorial Mos Guapo. With me, as always, the one, the only, the man, the myth, the legend, and any other words you can come up with. And some of them I've heard, and they're not very nice. I just want you to know that. Mike Caldwell. Mike, what's up, buddy?
SPEAKER_01:Hey, how's it going, man? It's been a day.
SPEAKER_00:It's been a day all day.
SPEAKER_01:In fact.
SPEAKER_00:As you can see, I got my hoodie on because Mother Nature finally decided that it might actually be October. A little chilly here in Lubbock, Texas. So it's been a pretty cool week in wrestling. Um, before we get into it, of course, I want to get some thank yous in. I want to say thank you to Ross and the boys from Labor 12 for our intro outro music. Tracks called Head Rush, albums called Monsters. They have some really cool stuff going on. Like they're working on music videos, they're putting out a second album, and they're keeping everybody posted on their progress at their website, labor12.com. That's labor xi.com. Um, I want to say thank you to Joe and American Legacy for the not your average merch. We got all sorts of cool stuff that you can find on our website or live shows. Uh, thank you to Jreb's 3D printing. You see this little piece of awesome right here. That is the J Reb original, my boy Cameron hooking it up. If you've got a logo or any other picture type thing you'd like to have in a light box like this, then hit him up, JRebs3Dprinting.com. I want to say thank you to Blind Ambition Studios for all our awesome graphics and the wrestling society.com for including us in their podcast room. And of course, the one that makes all of this work and makes our uh website look really, really cool or our our podcast look really, really cool. I hope everybody's digging the new design. Uh, the guy, Patrick. Thank you for what you do. Uh, want to get an idea of what he does? Look at the screen. He's uh he's reworked the layout of our podcast. He's put together our website, www.notyouravage mark.com. Uh, you can check that out, find bios, find out where we're gonna be, all the good stuff. And our newest and most fun thing, the uh Discord. We have a Discord available for all of our fans. All you have to do is go to any of our socials, click the about section, and you can find the link to our Discord. We do watch alongs for Raw, for SmackDown, for PLEs. Uh, we've done one for NXT, which was awesome. We've we even did one for the Cloud Show. Uh, it's a lot of fun. We it's a it's another platform to sit and talk wrestling with everybody. So make sure you check out the Discord. And now it's time to talk some wrestling.
SPEAKER_01:Let's do this.
SPEAKER_00:So let's start with some SmackDown. Smackdown started off pretty well. Uh course, our champion Cody starting the show, but gets quickly interrupted by the angry Scotsman, Drew McIntyre. Drew not getting on to Cody, though. No, no, no. Drew getting onto the crowd, saying they are accomplices in what Cody's doing, in the mistakes Cody's making, which is terrible. Like, you don't want to turn on the crowd. Um, he also said that it was not him that hurt Jacob Fatto. He didn't do it, had nothing to do with it, but maybe it was Jimmy.
unknown:I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_00:Now, where he got that from, I don't know. I don't know why he went straight for Jimmy, but this did bring out Big Jim and the rumble ensued. We got all sorts of fighting going on there. Uh, the MFTs come out and just kind of watch because you know they got the next match. Um it's interesting to me where they're going with this. Of course, Saturday night's main event coming up Saturday. We do have Cody versus Drew. Why Jim is getting mixed up in all of this? I'm not 100% though. Like that kind of threw me for a loop. What do you think, Mike?
SPEAKER_01:Well, it seems to me that I mean, I mean, not to not to play flash forward or anything like that, but uh we we seem to have Jimmy Uso in a lot of things. I mean, he's like inserted himself pretty much everywhere right now.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, I agree with that. He's kind of all over the place, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
SPEAKER_01:No, it's getting it's he's he has 100% visibility at this moment in time, which is you know something, you know. If he's involved in the storylines, they're gonna be talking about him.
SPEAKER_00:Which is a good thing, yes. Uh, as I said, the MFTs come out, and uh we've got I'm watching the the chat here. Uh Dark Side Link, what's up, brother? Saying I like the new look. Thank you very much. Uh our uh esteemed guy put in the work on that, and it looks awesome. Like I'm I'm digging it.
SPEAKER_01:It it definitely is, it's a lot different, and it's it looks a little special.
SPEAKER_00:He does need to change the current topic though, because we're not quite to Raw yet. We're we're still working on SmackDown, but uh there it is. Uh do we like the old school SmackDown logo or what? Like that's probably my favorite SmackDown logo. Uh we got Jello in the chat saying Jim seems to want to get involved with everybody's business. This is true, but again, 100% visibility. That's that's a good thing. I misclicked the button. Whoopsie. Um MFTs versus Ray Phoenix and Shinsuke Nakamura. So glad to see Shinsuke Nakamura back on uh on SmackDown. Like I honestly thought he was going to be gone for a while doing the whole Japan thing, so I was really, really happy to see that he's back.
SPEAKER_01:I agree. I mean, he's he's an asset to the company. And him being back involved and on television again is definitely a good thing. Um being with Ray Phoenix. I don't know if the chemistry is really there completely, but yeah, I mean, it was a thing.
SPEAKER_00:I mean, it it worked for the match. I don't I think there needs to be some serious work if they're going to move forward as a tag team, but I don't really feel like they are. Um at the moment, I feel like Ray Phoenix is uh partners to anybody whose name is not Penta. Yes. Agreed. Which I mean, it works out. Like he's had some really, really good matches. Uh Aaron Marie in the chat. What's up, Aaron? Glad you could join us tonight. Um I don't know. This this match worked well for what it was. Uh, you see the MFTs come out, you're expecting squash match, but it wasn't, which is great. Like, that's but things are happening here. Hold on. I don't know what just happened there. My screen freaked out for a minute. My bad. Um, you're expecting MFTs to come out and just like run roughshod, and they didn't. Like, they got a hell of a match out of Ray Phoenix and Shinsuke and Nakamura, and I think that may be my favorite part of this is they didn't do the squash match. Yeah, for sure. See, Dark Side Lane, hooking it up, giving us double the views, one on Twitch, one on YouTube. He clicked all the things.
unknown:There you go.
SPEAKER_00:Appreciate the dark side.
SPEAKER_01:That's how we do it around here.
SPEAKER_00:That's how we do things around here. Uh, in the end, of course, uh you had solo secoa cause the interference. Get interfered. Yeah. Let's try that again. English, take two. Solo Sokoa. Interfering and causing a distraction, which allows the MFTs to get the win. Uh oh, that is that I'm looking over at the chat. Something that uh I didn't get the opportunity to say earlier. We are on the green streaming platform as well, a platform I don't know that I can say while we're on the podcast. Like the guy's gonna have to let me know if I'm allowed to say that. But uh there is another streaming platform that's very similar to the one we're currently on, and we're on that one too.
SPEAKER_01:So um Go gadget.
SPEAKER_00:Patrick, you'll have to let me know if I'm allowed to say that I can say that? Okay, good. Uh yeah, we're on kick also, if you guys want to see that. Um, we've added that to our list of places you can watch the show. Yes, a text and tag team podcast saying, and on Facebook. We're all over the place. What we got Facebook, we've got our website, we've got Twitch, we've got Kik, we've got YouTube, like you can catch us all over the place. Um the MFTs, let's talk about them for a second. I believe that the face paint was the move. Uh, granted, they're never, I don't think they're ever gonna refer to them as the Gorillas of Destiny. No, but putting on the Gorillas of Destiny paint not only popped fans like me, like you, uh it makes them stand out. And I think that's what they needed. Like the MFTs were a thing, but now people pay a little more attention because you know they've got the face faint and they they seem like more of a group now. What do you think? I agree. Look, you can't be on and on my podcast, bro.
SPEAKER_02:Hey, my bad.
SPEAKER_01:I'm heavily medicated. Forgive me.
SPEAKER_00:Medicated, dedicated, hell, it's all the same. Um there you go.
SPEAKER_01:But yeah, I do agree. I I'm I'm digging the face paint. Um I feel like that gives them a little bit different of an aura.
SPEAKER_00:It does. It does. And like I said, it it it brings them together as a team. Where before you had you had Tama Tanga, you had Tala Tanga, you had Tonga Loa, like you had all these people, but they were just kind of a thrown-together group. This feels like a team, and and I like where they're going with it. I don't think it's gonna be too long before we see gold on some of the MFTs. Just my personal thoughts.
SPEAKER_01:So MFT stands for my family tree, right?
SPEAKER_00:Mother Tongans.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, okay. That makes that that makes all the difference because no, it does stand for my family tree. I I've heard Solo say my MFTs, and it's like, why are you saying my twice, dude?
SPEAKER_00:My my family tree. See, it works better that way. My mother can tonguins. That's what it's gonna be for me.
SPEAKER_02:Yep.
SPEAKER_00:There you go. Moving on to the next match, we've got Keanu James versus Tiffany Stratton non-title match. I like what they're doing with Keanu James. Like, I think people forget that while she's really good in the managerial role she has right now with Julia, she can go. Like she always has been able to.
SPEAKER_01:Right. Well, I mean, this is one that they ran back from NXT whenever they were they were over there. And it it dang good match, really, really meshed well together. And uh yeah, Keona James being the player coach that she is at this moment in time is a good thing for her because that keeps the spotlight on her in several different occasions.
SPEAKER_00:No, I agree with that. Uh, so you having been in the business for a minute, I was gonna say you haven't been doing this long, but let's face it, you have. Um how often do you see something like this where you know Tiffany Stratton's been what a year, year and a half, almost two years on the main roster?
SPEAKER_01:Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_00:And you have Keanu James, who's just recently moved up. How often do you see that kind of change and them immediately be able to go back to the same chemistry they had when they were both wrestling in XT?
SPEAKER_01:Oh, I mean, there there are certain people that that I I got in the ring with during my first few years in in the business, and then you know, it was 10 it was a 10-year gap, and then we ended up getting in the ring again, and it was like we never missed a step.
SPEAKER_00:So it is it is somewhat common to see something like this then. Oh, for sure. Because they they had an amazing match, like the chemistry was there. The only problem I have with it, and this is gonna sound this is because I like you know, analyzing characters, the glasses, Deanna James glasses. She made it a point that she doesn't need them and all that. So it seems like they're just using glasses to make her look smart because she's supposed to be the smart manager and all of that. I don't like it. She doesn't need that. She can go, she doesn't need the I'm smart because I'm wearing glasses gimmick.
SPEAKER_01:I don't I mean, that may be what they're doing, but that I mean several of the uh demographic that they're trying to grab thinks that that has that you know somebody that looks like that that's wearing glasses has that whole librarian look, and it and it possibly is gonna get them to tune in.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, I mean, don't get me wrong. I was trying to be as as look, I'm not gonna be PC about I I'm not even gonna try to be PC about it. She's hot, and the glasses is hot too, but I I don't think she needs that gimmick. Like she has the talent to not have to have a gimmick like that, you know what I mean? For sure. He's trying to be all PC. Well, it was an appreciated thing appreciated. Um we had a United States championship open challenge. You know, we saw, I think it was last week, Sammy Zayn lost the title to a returning Ilya Dragunoff. Dragonov, Dragonoff. Um I'm happy to see that Ilya's keeping the open challenge going, even though Sammy's, you know, Sammy's the one that got the okay to go it go ahead and do it from Cena. Ilya's gonna keep it going, and I like that.
SPEAKER_01:I I do too, but uh I want to back you up just a little bit because we missed a big story point from the Keanu James Tiffany Stratton deal, and that was the fact that that we got our we got our match for Saturday night's main event out of the situation, whenever Jade came out, rescued Tiffany Stratton, and then turned on her.
SPEAKER_00:Which you had to see coming. I mean, those two have been like, we're friends, we're friends, we're friends, we're friends. You knew that that car was finna crash.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, I I I totally saw Jade. As soon as I saw Jade, I was like, oh, this is it's on now. And uh I I it got me almost to think, okay, maybe they're not. And then about that time she closed lined the shit out of her. So it was it was it was on at that point.
SPEAKER_00:And like you said, that gives us our match at Saturday Night's Main event, which is going to be a good one. Uh Jello in the chat saying, My big issue is that the whole thing took the spotlight off of Julia where it should be. I mean, I can I can see that. Like, I mean, she is she's the champ. I don't, I don't I don't know why she doesn't have more matches than she currently does.
SPEAKER_01:I'm not I'm not certain with that either. I know I know maybe they're trying to work in storytelling with this whole situation. Uh I'd kind of like to go ahead and and find out what their writers' drug of choice is and and tell them to go ahead and use a little bit more of it so they can tell more in that story.
SPEAKER_00:But uh I like it and share. The Not the Average Mike Wrestling Podcast does not condone you drug use of any kind. Without drug. Just for coffee. Coffee's good. Coffee is good, coffee is always good. Um, like I said, United States Championship Open Challenge. Uh Alistair Black coming out with his wife, Selena Vega, answering the challenge. Um, this was a really good match. Like I didn't know, just given given what you see from Ilyad Dragonoff, I didn't know if there was gonna be chemistry there with Aleister Black, but I was impressed. Like I thought it was really good.
SPEAKER_01:Very hard-hitting match. And I think they actually went like like 16 minutes, something, something of that nature.
SPEAKER_00:15, 16, something like that. And uh Zelina Vega managed to get herself gone, ref center to the back.
SPEAKER_01:I'm I'm really digging the the Zelina Vega Alistair Black combination.
SPEAKER_00:My only problem with them having Alistair Black and Zelina Vega out, you know, this is my wife, we're on television together, is they got rid of Carrie and Cross and Scarlet just a little too soon. Can you imagine what we could have done with that?
SPEAKER_01:Well, they got rid of Carrie and Cross and Scarlett so they could switch gears to go with Black and go with Alistair Black and uh and his wife.
SPEAKER_00:And while I understand that, think about that for a second, though. You've got Alistair Black and Zelina Vega, and then you have Carrie and Cross and Scarlet. Like that's a match made all by itself.
SPEAKER_01:I agree, I agree with Jell O. Um. And the only thing I'm gonna say, and it's it may break a couple of people's hearts, but uh Alistair Black bumps better than bumps better than Cross.
SPEAKER_00:I mean, you're not he does bump better than Cross. Cross has some, in my opinion, better moves in the ring. He's got more of an assortment of moves, I should say. But Alistair Black does bump better than Carrying Cross. I'll I'll give you that one for sure. Um at the end of this match, of course, after Zelina Vegas sent to the back, Damian Priest comes out because he's still not real thrilled with Alistair Black and wanted to make sure he was well aware of that fact. Uh, which of course gets Alistair Black uh gets the match thrown out. Your champion is still Ilya Dragonov.
SPEAKER_01:Yes.
SPEAKER_00:I hope at some point we get the three of them in the ring together. That'd be a hell of a match, man. Alistair Black, Ilya Dragonov, and Damian Priest in a triple threat. I'm gonna talk about a hard-hitting match.
SPEAKER_01:I can see that being a survivor series match, possibly.
SPEAKER_00:Bring it on. Like, I would love to see that. That brings us to our main event. Big Jim, Jimmy Uso versus Drew McIntyre. Now, I'm not gonna lie, I didn't get a chance to see much of this one. Did you, Mike?
SPEAKER_01:I did, but I didn't. Um, I listened to a lot of commentary.
SPEAKER_00:Um I'm gonna let you talk about this one then, because I didn't get to see much of this one.
SPEAKER_01:Um Big Jim kind of showed out. He he did. Um but ultimately, ultimately, this was Drew's match to win. Because he is in the he is in the main picture, he is the one that's going against Cody Rhodes at Saturday night's main event, so it made complete sense for Drew McIntyre to get the W on this on this situation.
SPEAKER_00:It does.
SPEAKER_01:I mean But Jimmy did not go down without a fight.
SPEAKER_00:And and I like that. I like the fact that there while Jim's not winning a whole lot of matches right now, he's not he's not losing a whole lot of matches either, if that makes sense. Like he may get the L in the book, but his performance in the ring is good.
SPEAKER_01:Strong. Very and it still goes back to the whole deal where Jimmy Uso is involved with CM Punk J. Uso. CM Punk or uh Jimmy Uso is also involved with Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes. You know, he's in the main event circle at this moment in time, like I was like I was saying earlier. But uh does that is that something that that they're trying to tell?
SPEAKER_00:Uh we will have to wait and find out, see what happens. I hope that it is. Like I feel like Jim deserves that. You know, we've got main event J Uso, who's had his push, who's had his championship. I wouldn't mind seeing Jim in the main event picture. And with everything going on, let me play, let me let me paint for you a word picture. Um we go to Saturday night's main event. You got Punk versus Main Event J Uso. Jey Uso wins uh Survivor series, or maybe a little further down the road. I don't know. We end up with Jimmy versus Jay for the tile. How great would that be?
SPEAKER_01:Oh, it's good. That's it's coming. If that's if that's the road they take, then it's coming. But honestly, I feel there's there's a lot of a lot of things that still need to happen for for the November PLE that have not yet.
SPEAKER_02:That's true. That's very true.
SPEAKER_01:We we I mean we've we've seen MFTs uh teased with the Wyatt 6, which could be a possible war game situation or it could be a classic Survivor Series match.
SPEAKER_00:Which I'm interested to see what I I mean they're gonna do a war games match. You already know that. But I wonder if they are gonna do a classic, you know, five on five Survivor Series match.
SPEAKER_01:Well, it'd be a four-on-four.
SPEAKER_00:Well, yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Unless they weren't unless they were gonna get Shinsuke in the mix with the Wyatt Six.
SPEAKER_00:Which I mean he would almost fit, honestly. I could see it. All in all, I thought SmackDown was pretty good. Um it built well to what we've got going on with Saturday night's main event. Uh, granted, not the go-home show, but a good building show. I'd give it an A. I dug it.
SPEAKER_01:Um there was some story points that move things forward. But all in all, I'd I'd possibly say B plus.
SPEAKER_00:A respectable B plus at that. Uh that's gonna take us into Raw. Before we do, want to remind everybody, once you get the opportunity, go to the socials, click all the things, click the likes, the subscribes, the bells, the whistles, the all the things. SPEAKER_01:Let's do this.
SPEAKER_00:I was pretty impressed with Raw. I enjoyed watching this. Uh before I get too far into it, uh Jell O saying, don't forget NXT put on an excellent Halloween Havoc. They absolutely did put on a great Halloween Havoc. Like, it was a good show. And I don't have my notes here for that, but that is something that we'll be talking about maybe on the next podcast. We may talk a little bit about the implications of Halloween havoc. Um, with Raw, though, we got a chance to see main event Jay Uso come out. And it only took him like 25 minutes because, you know, had to run it back. Um he gets in the ring and he starts talking about Romans in my ear and zingies in my ear, and everybody's mama's in my ear. Everybody wants to be in my ear while I'm finally listening to me. And he starts in on it, and and I'm still waiting for my royalties from uh CM Punk, by the way. Uh, what am I talking about? I'm glad you asked. Jay gets ready to do his thing. He says, four letters, one word, uh-uh. The record scratch hits, and I say, four letters, one word, uh-uh, punk. And out comes CM Punk. And CM Punk does what you didn't expect him to do. He gets in the ring, of course, the whole crowd singing uh cult of personality because it's an awesome song. Music fades off. He goes to uh put the mic to his mouth and he stops. And he says, And he lurks around and does it one more time. They start the music back up, and I'm like, all right, I see what you're doing there. And so he tells Jay, he's like, I'm sorry I stole your stuff, okay? My bad. But uh, four letters, one word, punk. So I said that first. I'm gonna need my royalties from uh Mr. Punk. My people will call your people.
SPEAKER_01:Uh well, just just tell him directly. He's you know he's watching the podcast.
SPEAKER_00:I mean, why wouldn't of course CM Punk's watching the podcast? Why wouldn't he be? Um I like where they went with this. Like I may hurt some feelings with this. I don't know, but I'm a fan, everybody knows I'm a fan of Main Event J U, so and I'm a fan of CM Punk. But it really seemed to me that CM Punk was carrying this face. Space promo. Like he was setting everything up for Jay to have a great promo and things to say. And you know, he's like, I see the drive in you, and I and I know I can see that you're hungry, like I'm hungry, and you're finally listening to yourself, and you can do this, and we're gonna have this match, and blah blah blah blah blah. And the only response we got from Jay was, you know what? Screw you, punk. Like, I feel like punk carried this segment.
SPEAKER_01:Yes, yes, punk did. And that's the professional punk is. That's punk punk gave him things to work with. And which is something whenever you get deeper into the business and you are the best talker in the world, like you are, like CM Punk is.
SPEAKER_00:From day one, he's been a stick man. No question about that. I just wish Jay would have jumped on some of the things he was throwing down for him. Um, for sure. It was all in all, it was a good opening segment. Like, I liked it. Uh, next, though, we got uh Mr. Sedom himself, Pinta going up against Rusev, very angry Bulgarian man. Uh, number one contendership on the line for Dom's uh IC title. I like the chemistry between Rusev and Pinta. Like they do very well in the ring.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, for sure. And I mean, those two those two had it out with each other over at that other place, too. And good chemistry there as well.
SPEAKER_00:No, I agree. They did have good chemistry there as well. Nothing like what they have now, because we don't talk good things about the other place. But no, it's set aside the good chemistry they have. I I enjoy the fact that they can have the kind of chemistry they do with being so different in wrestling styles. Of course, Rusev, the big guy, the you know, brute strength, pinta quick, fast, in a hurry all the time, high flying, and still they can take those, both of those things and make it a good match on both sides of the match. And that's why I enjoy watching matches like this.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, and and the uh outcome of the whole situation was the fact that uh what what do we call them?
SPEAKER_00:Uh see, it was grande, vinte, and oh, it's tall grande and vinte Americano.
SPEAKER_01:Yes.
SPEAKER_00:Los Americanos. They come out from the back after a uh slick phone call from Dominic Mysterio and start putting a whooping both. Huh?
SPEAKER_01:Allegedly.
SPEAKER_00:Allegedly. Um they start putting a whoop into uh Rusev and Pinta until they didn't, because Rusev got up and uh put the whoop into them. Um I do like I can't with the Americanos. You know that. I get that's I do like the fact that they're using that dom reaching out. I got I got a phone call to make. I got you know, I got people on standby kind of thing. I do like that they're using that. I just don't like the Americanos. I don't like the gimmick, I don't like the I don't like it.
SPEAKER_01:It gets good heat.
SPEAKER_00:It started, I and before you say anything, yes, I know about Sami Zayn, and we'll discuss that in a minute, but it started out as something funny that Chad Gable did. And now it's a team, it's a whole thing. To me, it doesn't work.
SPEAKER_01:Now, granted, I I do I do think that having three is rather excessive.
SPEAKER_00:I only needed three for one reason, and I got that a couple of weeks ago when they did the whole Spider-Man thing. That's all I needed.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:They can go away now. Uh looking over at the chat, we've got Janine Wade in. Janine, glad you could join us. Welcome to the show. Um so we kind of saw where this was going with the number one contenders match. Of course, the match gets thrown out because Los Americanos interfere. Uh, a little later in the show, we find out something about that. Um Jell O saying the gimmick will be done by the time Gable gets back. I kind of think you may be right about that, Jello. Um, we go from that into Nicky Bella versus Roxanne Perez. Of course, this match coming from last week when uh La Primera herself was going up against Roxanne Perez, and at the end of the match, the judgment day decides to beat on it, beat on uh Stephanie Vacare, and out comes Nikki Bella for the rescue, and thus we have this match. I thought it was a good match. Like a lot of people are saying Nikki Bella is still one or two steps slower than she needs to be. Uh I don't think so. I think she did good. I think the speed of the match. The speed of the match was good, and even if she is a couple of steps slower, Roxanne Perez did an amazing job of keeping the flow at whatever pace needed to be set. So oh, for sure. That's how I feel about that.
SPEAKER_01:Um, but Nikki also was in the generation where you know it was slower than slow and slower than that. And she got her pacing from that. And the the new girls like Roxanne and everything else do have a higher gear. But it is good to have that person to slow them down somewhat to get them to where things work a little bit better and there's things that are sold and registered better.
SPEAKER_00:No, I agree with you. Um, it was a good match all the way around. Of course, we get uh a little bit of interference from Raquel Rodriguez. Ends up costing uh Nicky Bella the match. Roxanne Perez gets the win. We get the beat down, out comes uh La Prometa to make the save. This is gonna end up being a tag team match very, very soon.
SPEAKER_01:Player.
SPEAKER_00:Player.
SPEAKER_01:Tag team match, player.
SPEAKER_00:I was gonna say, you done dropped in with some teddy long, just out of now, random teddy long out of nowhere.
SPEAKER_01:Hey, you say tag team match, and it just it just that's the automatic thing that shows in my head.
SPEAKER_00:It's a tag team match, player. Um we go from that to uh LA Knight versus Braun Breaker. Uh the reason for this match being Paul Heyman saying, look, there's one other person. Because we had a we had a pretty good promo from uh LA Knight. It wasn't uh I'm doing it wasn't the animated big promo we usually get from LA Knight. It was a very serious look. I don't care if it's CM Punk or maybe been Jay Russo, whoever wins that belt, I got next. Period. Uh so Paul Heyman tells the vision look, there's one other person who has the same vision that we do. And if you take that person out, then it doesn't matter who wins the belt, you've got him. And that set up this match between LA Knight and Braun Breaker. Uh, a good match at that. Like I there were two or three times I thought LA Knight had this. I'm I said this during the the live stream or the the Discord, the watch along, and I'll say it again. Is there a point, in your opinion, Mike, in which the no cell from Breaker gets old?
SPEAKER_01:Yes and no. Um, I still think there's a learning curve, and the size difference is not super adamant between the two. So, yes, it gets old, but it also needs to be a developed trait where you know I could see him doing more of what he's doing against somebody like um Axiom.
SPEAKER_00:It kind of makes sense there, but in a match like this with LA Knight, I don't know, it just bothers me. The oh, I got my head crushed, and I uh I can't see uh just kidding, I'm gonna jump up to the top rope and you know do this. My leg's broken, like I can't walk at all, but I'm fixing to run 23 miles an hour and do a spear right after that. Like it's that's the part that bugs me.
SPEAKER_01:It's the that's still the green part of it.
SPEAKER_00:That's fair.
SPEAKER_01:It he's still green. He's learning, he's learning how to get that stuff, and he's got Paul Heyman in his corner now to help him with those kind of things. So he's going to be able to, Paul is going to make him watch tape and say, okay, well, what did you do wrong there? What can we do to make this better?
SPEAKER_00:I'm gonna have to agree with Jello on this fact. The uh Killer Bees did not do a post-match beatdown at the end of this match, and that needs to continue.
SPEAKER_01:Well, not every match has to have an afterbirth, but a whole lot of them as of late do.
SPEAKER_00:And that's that's why it's refreshing in this case, because I think at this point you're expecting it, and that's why it was refreshing to see that that didn't happen. Oh this is we have our we have our next match. Uh this one's set up after uh Adam Pierce is looking for Dominic Mysterio, can't seem to find him, he seems to be hiding a little bit. Uh Finn Balor, J.D. McDonough come up to ask. Well, one of them came up to ask, the other one just kind of told uh Adam Pierce. I will JD McDonough's like, I'm here to talk about our rematch. And Finn's like, well, hold on now. We just wanted to come and ask about the possibility of getting our tag team title rematch, and if we can do that. Uh and he's like, After what you pulled, that's what you you're already busy. You can't have a match because one of you is gonna go against the guy that you illegally eliminated from the match last week. Seamus wants a piece of one of y'all. And JD's like, you know what? I got this, and when I come back, we're gonna talk about this. So we get J.D. McDonough versus Seamus. The more I watch J.D. McDonough, I like to talk a lot of shit about J.D. McDonough. From his you know, five head to him being like a crash test dummy. I talk a lot of shit about him, but the more I watch him wrestle, the more I like J.D. McDonough.
SPEAKER_02:He is a very good talent.
SPEAKER_00:He is, I agree. And a lot of that talent uh instilled in him from his partner, Finn Balor. If I remember correctly, he trained under Finn Balor.
SPEAKER_01:Yes, yes, he did.
SPEAKER_00:You can tell it, and you can tell it in the way he moves the things he does. There's some very Finn-like stuff going on there. And he just even against big guy like Seamus, like he's he's there.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, well, that gets me going into a PSA because the Irish on Irish violence needs to stop.
SPEAKER_00:Yes. Why? Why the Irish on Irish violence? Can't we all just get along?
SPEAKER_01:Exactly. Ultimate looking over ultimately, JD McDonough didn't didn't get the victory on this dip.
SPEAKER_00:He did, he did. Um, looking over at the chat, Janine Wade says, but even I know you have to sell it to make it believable. Uh, talking about what we were saying with Braun Breaker. Um Jell O saying no one bounces better than JD. That is not wrong. His ability to sell a big move. Look, one of the videos that's being shown all over the place comes from the other place. And it's uh John Moxley pressing Darby Allen and throwing him onto from the ring onto the announce table. And the big bounce and the flop, and and JD McDonough could do that, make it look just as good and not get hurt, and not look like he's about to kill himself. That's one thing I do like about J.D. McDonough.
SPEAKER_01:And he actually weighs closer to the 200-pound mark than the other.
SPEAKER_00:This is fair. This is very fair. That's gonna bring us to our main event for Raw Women's Tag Team Championship, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair going up against Bailey and Lyra Valkyria. I am all here for that match.
SPEAKER_01:It was intense.
SPEAKER_00:I was excited, you were excited, my grandson was in here, he was excited. It was the whole thing was good. Um I do like that they are continuing to push Bailey and Lyra. Like I think this is this is good. One of the things I did enjoy most about this match was the fact that there for just a second, I thought they were that Bailey and Lyra were actually fixing to win those titles. And then you get a flying uh a flying Alexa Bliss coming in for the save.
SPEAKER_01:Yes.
SPEAKER_00:Um, that's true. That's true. Uh Jello saying Alexa and Charlotte versus Bailey, and Lyra was absolute fire. Even though Lyra got her hair caught in Alexa's gear, they hit it well. They did. They they actually hit that very well. Um, I could hear when that happened, I said, you know, I said something about it because there's a certain person. I'll I'll I'll leave that guy nameless. Um in the uh watch along, there was like, this is the perfect match. I need at some point a wardrobe malfunction of some sort, which of course we all laughed about. And then we had it, and then he got mad and said bad words because he missed it, and so it was kind of a funny thing.
SPEAKER_01:It was it it it happens.
SPEAKER_00:It does, agreed. Like you can't you can't be as physical and move around as much as you do without something happening, like uh in this instance, getting Lyra getting her hair caught in the uh the gear, like that it's gonna happen.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:The guy's saying that we're not supposed to miss it. All in all, this was a great main event, a great way to end the show. Uh, of course, Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, still your women's tag team champions, and I don't think this is the last time we see these two teams going at each other.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, we are also talking about a development that's going on where you have Asuka and Kyrie Sane involved in this whole situation as well. Now, because they had the beat down after the fact to go off the air.
SPEAKER_00:They did, and so now we have all sorts of uh different scenarios that can play out of this, and that's one thing I do like that WWE does very well while Bailey and Lyra or Charlotte and Alexa or Kyrie and Asuka are solid teams, every one of them can go in a singles match, no problem. So I do uh I do like that. So when you grade it, uh Raw was good. I enjoyed it. I I'm gonna go right along with what I said with SmackDown. I'm gonna give it an A. I think it was a good setup for everything. Uh it was a good mix of setup for Saturday night's main event and pushing storylines that aren't running through Saturday night's main event. Because of that good mixture, I'm gonna give it an A.
SPEAKER_01:I'll I'll agree with the A.
SPEAKER_00:All right, it is now time for everybody's favorite segment. It's time for notes from the clown show. Tony Cohn. Use her or a clown. And I'm gonna tell you why. Number one, Russell Dream. Let's talk about this for a minute. Do you want to watch Russell Dream? I know you don't, but act like you do. Well, you can do that. You can get the Russell Dream pay-per-view. It's only$50. And for that$50, fans paid for it and then report that the feed cut to a pink screen and never returned. So, not only did you pay$50 to watch what I'm gonna say was a subpar pay-per-view, the biggest part of the pay-per-view you had to hear about on the internet the next day because the screen cut out, so you didn't get to see Sting show up. So um proving that he is a clown, and I've got to go, uh I gotta go with Camino on this. And Camino, by the way, what's up? Glad you're here. Uh, AEW, all embarrassing wrestling. I like that. I like that a lot. Um, if you're Tony Khan and you know now that damn emote. Um, if you're Tony Khan and you know that your screen blanked out and everybody that paid$50 for your pay-per-view missed the biggest part of the show, missed the biggest surprise in the show. How would you explain that?
SPEAKER_01:Oh, well, we'd pass the buck on to somebody else, wouldn't we?
SPEAKER_00:Oh, absolutely. And that's uh exactly what happens. Tony Khan acknowledged the error at the post show press scrum, blaming an internal issue with Prime Video's system, not his problem, so he does not have to refund anything.
SPEAKER_01:Um so the Russell Dream concept was supposed to be in honor of Antonio Enoki.
SPEAKER_00:Yes.
SPEAKER_01:Um, I love the fact that some people are actually calling him Antonio Canochi.
SPEAKER_00:That's not good at all. Um so we get through all of this. If you're if you're gonna have Russell Dream, if you're gonna have a pay-per-view that's gonna cost fifty dollars, I can't get past that.
SPEAKER_01:Why do you gotta say it that way?
SPEAKER_00:Because it's fifty dollars for this, for the clown show. If you're gonna pay fifty dollars and you're gonna make it WrestleDream that's gonna be in memory of a wrestling legend, how do you start the show? Well, let me tell you how Tony Khan starts the show right in the middle of the match from the pre-show. Yep, yep, we just start right in the mid. The pre-show is the kind of match going. You start right in the middle of the match. Um I can't even start to talk about how frustrating that is. You've got all you you you're fifty dollars, and you're you're trying to honor somebody, and you're just gonna be like it's like they had somebody there with a button said, okay, start and they're in the middle of a pre-show match. Mikey, you're a promoter. Explain okay.
SPEAKER_01:This is what he was trying to do. He was trying to get the people that were on the free uh pre-show gimmick that was on TNT to oh crap, all of this is all of this is still going on, and now it's on the main show, so I gotta go buy this for$50.$50. That's where he was his head was. But all in all, you want me to tell you where his head was.
SPEAKER_00:I don't know where his head was. Dave Welter's ass. But that's beside the point. I don't I don't know how we get there with Tony Khan. I will say, and this does kind of reference notes. Well, you know, we'll go ahead and call it number next thing. Uh number next thing. I have a new hero as it pertains to the clown show. And his name is Nick Lopicolo. I hope I announced that I pronounced that correctly. And he had a message for one Dave Meltzer. And I believe everybody that's watching or listening at home knows exactly how I feel about Dave Meltzer. Let me read the message. Says, you don't cover business, Dave. You cover fanfic with star ratings. You spent 40 years grading matches like a Yelp critic while people who actually build this industry negotiate billion-dollar mergers. You don't understand media rights or even what I write because it's not about your comfort zone of stars and nostalgia. You're a relic of tape trading, pretending to be a reporter in a world of streaming rights, balance sheets, and shareholder calls. You don't correct misinformation, you create it. What you do isn't business. It isn't journalism, it's cosplay. Perfect time of year for it, though. It's Halloween. That man is my hero. Set up the headstone, rest in peace, Dave Melcher. Because he killed it. Just wanted to share that out there because, you know, screw Dave Melcher. I don't like him. Um looking over at the chat, we've got uh Gene Wayne. Okay, you already said the clown show. Did you expect less? You make a valid point, Janine. You make a valid point. Jell O saying, Tony moved collision to avoid low viewership against Survivor Series to Thanksgiving night against the NFL and expects no effect on this show. Look. Netflix from time to time changes the uh the start time, even in the United States. You know, set aside the fact that they go over the uh over go overseas and change time for that. There are times in the states, if there's a very solid, very popular Monday night football game going on, they'll change the start time on Netflix to not go up against that Monday night football game. So what the hell makes Tony Khan think the NFL is not going to uh cause problems with his show?
SPEAKER_01:Okay. Thanksgiving. There's two things that are synonymous with Thanksgiving food and football.
SPEAKER_00:And clowns?
SPEAKER_01:Well, apparently. I I I I honestly get where he's going with it because history was back in the day, Survivor series was a Thanksgiving night tradition. It was. And it it was a it was a deal they did on Thanksgiving. And now he used to call them together. It also didn't work very well in that in that sense, so they changed it.
SPEAKER_00:No, I agree. And Camino's right. He's sadly to say, viewers will always be football over wrestling, and I agree with that. I don't agree with the sentiment. Like, I don't I don't necessarily think sports ball over wrestling, but I agree with the fact that viewers are going to be that way, especially on Thanksgiving.
SPEAKER_01:I mean, I know certain viewers that would that you know you get you get the right Monday night football game on, and they're not gonna tune into Raw.
SPEAKER_00:Exactly. All right, number next thing. I'm gonna need you to protect me, Mike. I need you to protect me from Amanda Huber. You see, do you know, first off, do we know who Amanda Huber is?
SPEAKER_01:I I do, but maybe our viewers don't.
SPEAKER_00:Uh, for those of you that aren't aware of who Amanda Huber is, Amanda Huber is the wife of the trying to remember what his wrestling name was. I'm not thank you. I was gonna say I was I had his real name, his shoot name. Um, bro, this is Brody League's wife, and she is she works with AEW now, is a member of their team, and just went off in a very unprofessional manner on an online critic. So don't let the mean lady hurt me, Mike. Uh it's very unprofessional the way she went about this. Now, I know what a lot of people may be saying right now. It's very unprofessional the way I talk about AEW. But I don't work for like if I worked for WWE and said the things about AEW that I say, that would be a whole different thing because that's completely unprofessional. But this is my podcast. I can do this. As a person that works for AEW, you cannot go off on online critics. And the guy didn't even really say anything bad. He said that he had some problems with WrestleDream, and these were his problems. These were the bad things, these were the good things. Like I could see her going off on me because I talk all kinds of shit. But this guy was like, this is what I liked, this is what I didn't like.
SPEAKER_01:Well, I mean, if you I'm sure that now this online critic is probably getting a whole lot more views because people are going, wait, why is she saying what she's saying? Let's go find out what this guy's all about. So Amanda Huber, by all means, please uh consult us for every come on with it.
SPEAKER_00:Um, the last thing I'm gonna talk about with the clown show is some, it's it's more of a question. And I pose this question to you, Mike, and to everybody that's watching, everybody that's listening. Do you think the tribalism that AEW uses, which of course AEW versus WWE, you're one or the other, do you think that hurts their business? It's a question I've gone back and forth in my head over because I can I can see ways that it does, and I can see ways that it doesn't. So I wanted to get your opinion. Does the tribalism hurt AEW?
SPEAKER_01:You don't want my opinion.
SPEAKER_00:I do.
SPEAKER_01:Okay. We want everybody to get the wrestling book.
SPEAKER_00:Yes.
SPEAKER_01:Everybody should have the wrestling button because that means that it it creates a trickle down. You know, people get excited for WWE, people get excited for AEW, people get excited for TNA, people get excited for this, people get, and then it starts bringing it down all the way over here to their independent levels. Now, if we were to all work together as a cohesive unit saying, okay, we have different types of wrestling, we have different, you know, and we can definitely say that you know this is your type A and this is your type B, and you know, there's something for everybody in wrestling. And whatever that happens to be, people may like that. And they're it's gonna draw them to it, and it's going to help everybody. The rising tide floats all ships. Well, having having the this person against this, or the this company versus this company, and this it it it's it's it's bullshit.
SPEAKER_00:I agree. And I'm I'm kind of glad you put it that way. Like it worked for a little while. It worked, you know, we're the anti WWE. All these people from WWE are coming over here because you know, we're the anti-WWE. Uh, there's another company that did that that you might remember that's no longer around called WCW. Um I feel like doing that, like having you're either our fan or you're their fan, doesn't do anything but hurt you. Uh Jello saying in the chat, AEW and their core fans do not want casual fans. And that that will be their downfall. For sure. That's the way just the way I feel about it. And it is for these reasons that I can say with honesty and no worries at all. Tony Khan, you're a clown. And that was notes from the clown show. Let's talk about some wrestling talk Wednesday. I posed a question. Uh that came out earlier this morning. I've got a few answers. If you didn't get the chance to answer in the socials, I definitely want to hear from you in the chat. Um, music has always been a really big part of wrestling, especially for me. I'm a music guy. Uh so my question to everybody was what music is it? From that first note, as soon as it hits, they get you pumped, gets you hype. You know it's fixing to be a good match. Uh got a few answers out of this. I'm gonna do some of our online answers and then we'll we'll get into me and you, Mike. Uh uh Houston from the Texan Tag Team Podcast says uh kind of a double one. Those, you know, first few guitar notes of DX, the DX theme, which I agree are ready to. Like I've always loved that. Uh and Sherry's scream at the beginning of uh Shawn Michaels music.
SPEAKER_01:Yes.
SPEAKER_00:Uh I I can agree with that. And and Houston saying, because as soon as you hear that, you know whether it's promo work or in-ring work, it's gonna be good. Uh so I agree with both of those. Um you've got Janine, you've got the same one that uh Mike does, the record scratch, signaling the beginning of uh cult of personality for CM Punk. Mike also agreeing with that one. Um trumpets, a few snares, never seen 17. How did I know, Camino, that you were gonna bring up John Cena? But you're not wrong, you're not wrong. John Cena's music, definitely good as well. Um, we've got the guy, classic uh glass break. As soon as the glass shatters, you know, stone cold's coming out. There's gonna be a whole 50-gallon drum of whoop ass finna happen. So that's definitely a good one as well. Uh Mama Guapo chiming in as well, saying Jay Uso's music as soon as it hits. So gets the yeet going the whole nine. Um, for me personally, it's uh death from above. The old school Harvey Boys theme, the da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da I because you knew you knew it was fixed to be good. So that was it for me. Um let's see. Jell O's saying the music has never been big for me, but Joan Jett doing bad reputation at WrestleMania was fire. Oh, absolutely it was. Um I think that's a really good one. Camino's saying uh hearing wrestling has more than one royal family, signaling the entrance of one Cody Rhodes. Uh I agree with that one as well. Um others I've got written down here, the Dudleys. As soon as you heard the like you knew, you already knew. Uh Wade saying uh Edge's song is in my head all day, every day. Oh yeah. You think you know me. It wasn't even that one. I'm I'm at work talking about I mistake. I hear that song all the time. But the you think you know me thing was cool. Like people pop for that. You did it for um the I don't know what you would call that music, but the music that came out right before you hear no chance, that's what you got. Like, as soon as that hit, you knew. Like, I'm not saying anything about the person it was for. Like, I'm Vince McMahon's a piece of shit human. We all know that. But that music, when it hit back in the attitude era, you knew things are about to get fun. Mike, do you have anything you'd like to add?
SPEAKER_01:Um honestly, you got you got the you got the uh I hear voices in my head.
SPEAKER_00:Uh-huh. For the for real definitely Randy Orton.
SPEAKER_01:Uh that's not for there's a hurricane coming through. I was I was I was really into the to the intro before the intro.
SPEAKER_00:I did that.
SPEAKER_01:In in you know what I what I liked about the about the product for a long time. And you know, everybody had their little their little things that they had that made their music their music.
SPEAKER_00:True. You know, I I actually had I asked this question at work, and you could tell who some of the older school people were because I actually had somebody say the hello ladies from Valvinus. Yeah. Ain't thought about that one in a minute. Uh the car crash, absolutely. Um got the sauce in here. What's up, Sauce? What does everybody want? I agree with you, Sauce. That's absolutely what does everybody want? Al Snow at head. That was like that's the first time you really saw the crowd get into one of the things. And of course, one of my other personal favorites. Oh, you didn't know? The new age outlaws getting everybody into. I I feel like, and correct me if you think I'm wrong here, but I feel like you don't get the response from the crowd that the new age outlaws get without Al snowing head. Like, I understand that Al is this Javroni's name, but you don't get that kind of reaction without what does everybody want? Oh the sauce talking about I'm an ass fan, pew, pew.
SPEAKER_01:Yes, for sure.
SPEAKER_00:There was just there the music and we're getting the probably the most recognizable, the most, I don't know, the biggest one in my opinion. And that's the gong. Yes, yes, signaling the Undertaker. Like for years, 30 of those to be exact, that gong meant trouble. Uh no, we're not saying anybody's name. Okay, see, now you're making my eye twitch, Camino. Say his name, and he appears. We believe in Bodalis. Wait a damn minute. That's not how that goes. No, I do I do think music is just as big a part of the production of wrestling as the wrestling. And I love that we can sit here and talk about the music. Um, one of the things I see in there is uh from Camino, the heartbeat Taz. Doug that. Uh, the car crash for Mick Foley. Just a question. Is there anybody else who thanks to Edge and Christian, anytime they hear that particular Mick Foley music, you know the one I'm talking about? Dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun. All I ever hear. Mick Foley is the commissioner. Likes to wear red flannel, checkered shirts. Like that's all I hear. Oh my god. And I blame Edge and Christian for that.
SPEAKER_01:Oh God. I hadn't thought about that in years.
SPEAKER_00:Uh no, but it's those moments that you can tie to the music, and that's why I asked this question. I appreciate everybody for giving input on that. Um I don't know. I'm just I'm a music guy, so I I really enjoyed the opportunity to talk about that. Um what's the sauce saying here? Even the wrestling shows, Rob with across the nation. Okay, like I've got a poster right now hanging on my wall from going to see Union Underground back in March. Thank you to my kids for the birthday present, and getting to hear that live. And oh, it was awesome. Like getting to hear like, I mean, I've got to agree with the sauce, across the nation. Like, that's that pumps you up. They're still making videos today. If you go look on TikTok, imagine NFL starting like this, and it's across the nation with different clips put in. Or imagine Raw starting like this again, and it's today's wrestlers in a in a video backed by Across the Nation. So I 100% agree with that. Um the old school WCW nitro theme. Yeah. Yeah, I've got to go with that too. It was it was good. Um, a storm is coming, Jake Cargill. As long as you don't have to hear it's TV Turn. We're down to about 11 minutes left. Let's get into some Saturday night main event predictions. Uh, we're gonna go through it quick. I want to hear what everybody has to say. I knew he was gonna do that too. I knew it. Look at the chat. This guy. Um we're gonna go through it quick, but uh, I want to hear what everybody's got to say about it. Cody versus Drew. Mike, who you got?
SPEAKER_01:Uh I've got Cody.
SPEAKER_00:See, I don't. I think I think we're finally gonna see Drew get his this time. I think Drew's gonna become champ.
SPEAKER_01:I mean, more power to him if he does, but I don't feel I don't feel it's the the situation is where it needs to be before that happens.
SPEAKER_00:I don't know. I feel like this puts the uh situation where it needs to be. Uh we'll have to see how that one goes. Camino saying Cody as well. I don't know. I I feel like I've got Drew McIntyre in this one. I think Drew's gonna take this one. Which takes us to our next championship match. CM Punk versus main event, Jay Uso. Who you got? I got punk. I too have punk. I think I think punk gets the belt. I think it works out well. Um Joe saying Cody, please. I'm Cody versus Drew. Uh Camino saying uh CM Punk and Janine Wade saying I agree with Mike. Uh I don't know, I think it just fits the story best for Punk to take the belt. What I what I want to eventually get to is Jimmy versus Jay for the belt. But what I'd like to see is Punk win the belt, and I'd like to see Jimmy take it off of Punk and Jay come after Jimmy, we get the whole thing there. Uh the sauce saying CM Punk, the Uso project did not go over very well. Uh I can understand that. Uh Camino saying, where do you go with Drew afterwards if he wins the belt? Uh you go back to a rematch with Cody, you go, uh I'm trying to remember who's on SmackDown. Uh the MFTs are going to become a part of that for sure. Um like there's there's all sorts of directions you can go with Drew. Like, where do you go with Cody? If Cody if Cody retains.
SPEAKER_01:Well, if Cody retains, then you have you have some heels that I mean, you've got solo. You've got you've got Alistair Black. You've got I mean shit. You you could we could ramp up Sammy.
SPEAKER_00:Well, I mean, while I agree with that, Sammy versus Drew McIntyre. Alistair Black versus Drew McIntyre. Like, these are all matches that could go either way, like Cody or Drew, in my opinion. Camino says Cody versus uh Cody versus Hendry. Cody versus Orton. Yeah. We're gonna get that eventually. We're gonna get to uh Cody versus Orton. And what's up, son? Glad you made it to the chat. Uh little guapo in the chat. He's not a ghost. I told y'all he was real. There were some people that didn't believe, but I told y'all he was real. Um we are gonna get to that by a point. Cody versus Orton is gonna be a thing. Without question. I just I don't know if it's time for that yet. So what do we have on Tiffany Stratton versus Jade Cargill?
SPEAKER_01:Um you know what I want and what's really gonna happen are two different things.
SPEAKER_00:You know, okay. You tell.
SPEAKER_01:I want Jade to win because I feel I feel like having having that to help her get to that next step where she needs to be is gonna be a good thing. But honestly, I still feel like Tiffany Stratton is still gonna still gonna get the W and continue to go.
SPEAKER_00:I could see it. Like I I could see Tiffany going on. I just I feel like we get Jade. Uh see, uh the sauce is going exactly where I was gonna go with this. Jade wins the belt here, Bianca wins the rumble, mania. You get Jade versus Bianca. And if they want to throw a little fun into that, you know, we get we get a triple threat with Tiffany, or something happens and Tiffany and Bianca have to go for number one contender. Like there's so many ways to go with that, but I do feel like we get Jade versus Bianca at Mania. And the best way to do that is for Jade to win the belt and Bianca to win uh the rumble. So I think I personally think Jade's got this one. Uh uh Janine Wade, so over Tiffy time. Yes, yes, Lord.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, she said taffy time.
SPEAKER_00:Oh, yeah, taffy time. My bad. All right, last one. Dominic Mysterio versus Roosevelt versus Penta. I see title. What we got.
SPEAKER_01:Honestly, I feel like I feel like this is one of those things where we're we're actually sitting back trying to figure out how's Dom gonna get through this one.
SPEAKER_00:I don't disagree with that. I I feel like we're going to see uh tall grande and Vinti Americano show up. Like I feel like that's gonna be a thing. Um Little Guapo saying Tiffany has been great, just a poorly such a poorly booked run. I mean, I feel that.
SPEAKER_01:Honestly, we need we still need to we we need to have a draft, and we need to do it differently than every every other draft has has gone before, where you're not worried about who's on raw and who's on spec down. We saw we try to we try to bring up some of the guys from NXT and see what see what we can do about building our rosters.
SPEAKER_00:Um says dirty dom face turn with daddy return. Ray wins the title. What I think we will get there with uh dom and ray, like it's gonna come full circle at some point. I don't think it happens yet. Uh the sauce saying Dom retains with sneaky Guerrero tactics. I can go with that. Uh Jell O saying ABD, anyone but Dom. Uh Lilagu still talking about uh uh Tiffany Stratton saying same three opponents whole run. And you're not wrong. Uh it has been, it kind of has been that. It's been the same three opponents for Tiffy the whole time. Um I feel like giving her a chance to chase, like pulling the belt and giving her a chance to chase and build heat with other people gives her a chance to get the belt back and have a much uh a much larger opponent base. Um uh guapo, just curious. The way you plug them, you should ask Starbucks for sponsorship. You know what? I should. You're absolutely right. Starbucks should give me a sponsor. Starbucks! And I can't say that too loud. My wife's gonna come in here. She's gonna want some Starbucks. I might have to go get some. I'm just saying. Uh Facebook is delayed. Uh things get a little delayed. Um look Wapo saying, Dom is my vote for wrestler of the year. And I, as much as I don't want to say this, I'm gonna find it hard for it to be anybody else. What a year Dominic Mysterio has had. Oh, for sure. So I don't think we ever got your answer. Who do you think's gonna win this one?
SPEAKER_01:I've got Dom. I've got Dom.
SPEAKER_00:You know, says seven brew is better. Um Jello saying Tiff never got a chance to chase. I agree with that. That's why I feel like if she loses the belt and gets to chase, then that's gonna make it a little bigger. Uh the sauce saying, to be honest, if you take the title off Dom, now is where you build Penta. So Rusev takes the belt. Nice feud between Rusev versus Pinta through at least Rumble. I mean, I could see that. That's that's not a bad setup. Um I love you. It is a good way, it's a good way to build Pinta, it's a good way to build Rusev, and Dom is still 100% in the mix. I do think at some point, I don't think it's gonna be Saturday, but I do think at some point Dom loses the belt and spends a little more time over in AAA doing things as he is, you know, their mega champion. Uh so I think I think we see a little less of Dom for a little while, but I don't think that happens now.
SPEAKER_01:Right. I I still think there's more mileage to go on the Dom thing because he is just now getting to be his creative self.
SPEAKER_00:Yes, and the crowd's behind him. Never thought I'd hear myself say that one, but yeah, the crowd, the crowd. Pinza tried to do the it's been a while, uh, a few weeks ago. Pinza tried to do the uh three amigos and the crowd booed him for that. And then cheered when Don did it.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_00:So it's gonna be a good show. We may get another match added tomorrow night. I don't know. Um we you do know how Triple H likes to do his five match shows. So there is that possibility. So uh Camino says, Cena AA is dumb, face turned from the attitude adjustment, Ray Crown's dumb, king of AAA Lucha. That's a whole lot of moving parts right there. All right. That's our predictions for Saturday night, the main event. Uh, we've got some local wrestling coming up. We've got some some of the best West Texas independent wrestling you're gonna find coming up November 8th at uh TMW Event Center in Love Land. BCW Texas bringing you draw the line. This is, of course, the show where we get the opportunity as fans, as talent, as everybody in the building to show our appreciation for our veterans, the the people that are out there fighting for our right to be here and do this. So this show always a big deal for me.
SPEAKER_01:Very much so.
SPEAKER_00:Uh following that, BCW Texas doing a twofer in November, uh, November 15th in Plainview, Texas, doing uh I believe it's called uh Break the Silence.
SPEAKER_01:Breaking the Silence, yes.
SPEAKER_00:Breaking the Silence, a show. If I you have to correct me if I if I say this wrong, but my understanding is this show is a fundraiser, um all about see, there it is right there. Uh all about mental health and suicide prevention and awareness. Uh I can't think of a better reason. Uh we all know someone. And I just know that if it if this map if this show, the breaking the silence, can help one person feel like it's it's gonna be okay, then that show has been has paid itself, paid for itself all over the place. Um yeah, uh holy hell. Um thank you so very much. Uh J Rev, gifting subscriptions. Uh one, two, three, four, five subscriptions. J-Reb, brother, I love you so much. Thank you. That is awesome. That's wow.
SPEAKER_01:Um, y'all should y'all should message J Reb, sell him thank you, and then go buy some of his 3D printing stuff.
SPEAKER_00:Yes, get get you some uh J Reb originals, like this one right here. Um of course after that, November 22nd, Squared Circle Pro, pieces for quitters. Hey Rick Elzie. That's for you, buddy. Just saying.
SPEAKER_01:We will be there.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, hell yeah, I'm I'm not only am I gonna be there, I'm gonna be in the middle of the ring with a microphone in my hand. You know why? Because I'm the ring announcer, that's what I do.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:For those that were got the opportunity to hear it, uh last Tuesday I was on the uh Tex and Tag Team podcast, and Rick decided to pop in and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Yeah, I got I got the standard Rick Elsie promo. Well, I did this and I did that, and everybody's against me, and mah, man, mah, mah, mah. So, like it was it was your standard Rick Elsey promo. That's that's all it was. And I I said nice things. Like I gave him all the flowers for building Square Circle Pro, for having the only women's division in West Texas, for all the things he's done, and still got things he wants to uh he wants to come on and bitch and moan and complain. You know why? Because he's just like the thing he hates the most. He's just like the internet wrestling community. Bitch and moan about everything. He would be pissed off if I hung him with a new rope. Just like You right there, buddy.
SPEAKER_01:Don't do that.
SPEAKER_00:Good stuff, good stuff. Uh if you haven't had the opportunity, you need to check out some uh some West Texas Independent Wrestling. It's gonna be good stuff. Um I'll tell you what, you guys check this out because it's gonna be really cool. It's time for final thoughts. Pretty cool, huh? The guy has put some serious work into all of this, and I think it's freaking awesome. Um, of course, Mike, we're gonna hand it over to you, to everybody listening, everybody watching, to the wrestling world in general. The floor is open for you, my friend.
SPEAKER_01:Ultimately, I mean we have our we have our people that we're gonna have we're gonna have heat with. One way, shape, or form or another. Let's get past it. Be kind to one another. And that's one of the things that we can do to make this wrestling world better. And I'm gonna end it there.
SPEAKER_00:I couldn't agree more. We are the wrestling community, we're not always gonna agree with each other. But we all love the same thing, and and I agree with being kind. Um touching on the breaking the silence show, I want anybody that may be watching this, maybe listening live or after the fact, anything at listening at any point to know I love you guys, and I know Mike loves you guys. And if there's ever a point where you feel like there's just nothing there, there's just no reason, tag me in. Call me, um message me, call Mike, tag us in. We we're we're here for you. There's always there's always a reason, and and if we can be a reason, we're happy to do that. So uh over and above that, of course, check out your local West Texas independent wrestling. Um, plenty of shows coming up to do that. If you're not in West Texas, I guarantee you there's wrestling near within 50 miles of you, regardless of where you're at. Um, I want to thank everybody that's been in the chat. I want to thank everybody that's watching, everybody's listening. J Rev, I don't even know what to say, brother. Thank you so much for all the gifted subs. It's been a lot of fun. Thank you for giving me a platform to talk wrestling with you guys. I uh I can't thank you enough for that. Mike, of course, thank you for being on the show. Always a pleasure to have you on.
SPEAKER_01:Absolutely. Anytime.
SPEAKER_00:And I think that's going to uh that's gonna do it for us tonight. Next week, we'll be back to our regularly scheduled programming. We'll be on Thursday night. Uh, Tuesday and Wednesday night. You can check out Texan Tag Team Podcast. They're a great group. They do lots of fun stuff. You got what was it, Turnbuckle Tuesday and then uh Sportsball Wednesday, because I don't know what they call it. Um check them out. They're good dudes. You'll I think you'll enjoy their show. I'm not gonna be here Friday because it's our last Friday night of nightmares, so we won't be having the watch along, but uh moving forward, we will be having our raw watch along, our SmackDown watch along, PLEs, all that good stuff. We'll get back now that October's about over, we'll get back to the norm. And I can't wait for all of you to be there. So I will see everybody on Monday night for our raw watch along. Until then, I'm Guapo. That's Mike Caldwell, and we're not your average marks. We'll see you next time. Yeah.
